    The exhumation process...

    Thought I'd post a few pix of these old 515's exhumed from their "tomb"

    The one surround was damaged I suspect from an impact somewhere along the line. Bill H from GPA advised that I try the old Elmer's and water trick on it, so I did....

    Yeah, at least one of the 515's. Normally the Simplexes hibernate in my garage waiting for an opportunity to strut their stuff. Since I have a fully functional pair and the single with issues, the non-functioning components are stuffed all the way in the back of the pile.

    Since I broke out the fully functional pair this weekend, I had a chance to go in and finally pull the pair of woofers that I needed to work on.

    The associated 288b also needs work. It has a buzz/distortion in it which I am hoping is just dirt in the diaphragm, but I won't know until I get it apart....
